First Week of My Mission - Online MTC
What a crazy week!
Hi everyone! This week was my first week and I just have to say wow! Everyday was a rollercoaster of emotions. Such long days and not my favourite on zoom... But it is still awesome I can be with my family. I wake up at 6 and have class from 8-12, a work shop for 1 hour then companion study. Have a break for like 2 hours then class from 3:30-7:30. I am alway so tired after my last class but its so awesome to learn so much!!! First, my companion is from California and is super relaxed and quiet. We both are super easy going haha. The very first day I got thrown into Spanish and could not understand anything but although I couldn't understand anything, I felt the spirit so many times! My district is super fun. 6 Elders and 2 Hermanas. I have two Sister teachers but one of them is leaving and I am getting a guy teacher. He was in our class today and he is super nice. Told us that the people of Guatemala will give us everything they have, even though they do not have much. They are a very nice and humble people which I am excited to see. Everyone is going to Antigua except 2 Elders which is very cool I am excited to have all of them in my mission. Crazy how much I have learned in just five days. I know so much more Spanish and I have learned lots about being a missionary. On Wednesday we practiced having personal and meaningful conversations and it was so fun and funny to do. It was very good practice and I am trying to be a better listener with every conversation I have. My favourite thing I have learned was about the gift of tongues and the gift of interpratation of tongues. I can already see the gift of tongues working in me and I am excited to see where it takes me. Biggest thing I learned this week was for me to figure out who and how I can become the person God wants me to be! I can't wait to share with you all what I learn for the next two years!
