Sunshine and Unreal Food
Hi everyone!!
This week was a pretty awesome week. On Thursday we had Inter cambios (exchanges) and because my companion is district leader, we split with the zone leaders. I got to stay here and lead the area with Elder Doolittle!!! It was such a good day and a good boost! We taught Danny and I shared a story about prayer and honeslty it was the first time in a lesson I felt the Spirit (I haven't had very many lessons though). He has a few hurdles before baptism that we learned though so August is our goal for baptism! First unreal thing I ate this week was Pedro's pizza Thursday night. Very yummy.
Saturday night for dinner was the second thing unreal. We went to this Mexican restaurant and I had tacos. Literally the most flavorful thing I've ever eaten. So good we went back Monday night haha. It's the best thing I've eaten like almost ever.
For district council Peesident Probst and the APs showed up. It was pretty cool to see them. Nothing special happened though. They are awesome I love them! We stopped by Danny's art hut but he was busy. We talked a little and as we were leaving his wife came out! We got to meet her for the first time and are really excited because she seems awesome. Hopefully we start teaching her as well!!
Tuesday was a pretty rough day. Just one of those days but we had a pretty awesome miracle! We stopped by the house of one of our new contacts and he let us in and we talked about missions for a while then taught the 1st lesson! He received it super good and said we can come back. Turned yesterday from a bad day to a great day.
This week I found a quote I really like about patience. "Nevertheless, without patience, we cannot ease God, we cannot become perfect. Indeed, patience is a purifying process that refines understanding, deepens happiness, focuses action, and offers hope for peace." Dieter F Uchtdorf said with patience, we can become something more than we ever thought was possible. It isn't easy, and it takes work and time. But as we work and have patience the blessings will come and we will start to see a difference in our lives. During our trials is probably the most important time to have patience. As we endure with faith and patience, the Savior's power will bring us light and we will learn and be blessed in ways we don't expect. But it takes work to be patient during our trials! It's worth every effort though.
It's been super sunny and such a good temperature this last week! Which is weird because it's supposed to be raining everyday. I guess every rainy season for like 2 weeks it doesn't really rain. Because it hasn't been very cloudy we got to see all 6 volcanoes in my mission!!! It's the coolest thing. The only area in the mission where you can see all 6. Guatemala is pretty cool.
Hope everyone has a good week!
Elder Pilling
