No Water

Hi everybody!

Wow what a week! This area is soooo different than Comalapa. Our area only has residential communities with tiendas and restaurants so honestly it's pretty chill. Not at all like how I expected the "city" to be.

So this week was awesome. Friday was our first day working the area and we found 8 new people that listened to a little message and wants to hear more. We also had a first lesson with a friend of a member and it went so good. We set a baptismal date for the 28! The sad part is he said he would come to church but then wasn't home. And we checked after chruch and we wasn't home. And we checked Tuesday and he wasn't home. It’s a little hard because he doesn't have a phone and we live 15 minutes walking from him. The only way we can communicate with him is the member who lives next to him. We are hopeful and excited though!

There were like 200 people that attended church on Sunday which was awesome and so cool! Reminded me of a sacrament meeting at home.

We have met with a few members and their families here and let me tell you it is awesome having more than 15 active members!! The members we met with are awesome and all made us food. The food here is sooo good.

On Tuesday we taught the girlfriend of a returning member with his dad (who is very active) and it was awesome and super spritual. We have another visit Thursday :)

There are some very unreal restaurants here. 1st: pupusas 2nd hamburgers and tortas. Guatemala just has good food haha.

About the title, our house sometimes has water and sometimes not, so this week I had to shower with  bucket a few times. I love Guatemala haha. It's a simple life.

This week we have taught the plan of salvation (or happiness) to lots of people. And let me testify that it is really the plan of happiness. When people learn of life after death and that they can be with their families forever they are filled with a light and happiness. Having the opportunity to teach others about this plan and to see them be filled with peace and joy has brought me joy! I love teaching others about the gospel of Jesus Christ and I love being able to share it with the people of Guatemala:)

PS. My Spanish is getting better every day and it's so cool.
