My First Baptism
Hi everyone!!!
This week was pretty great. First big thing that happened was Bruno's baptism on Sunday!!!! It was so cool to see him make that decision to make covenants with God. I got the opportunity to do the baptism and it was so cool. He was so happy. He is going to be confirmed next Sunday. Very exciting!!!
Sunday night we had a first lesson with Cinthia and Byron. Cinthia is the daughter of Marisol so Oscar's older sister. She and Byron are so awesome. They ask questions and want to understand everything!! We taught the Plan of Salvation and tonight we are planing on teaching the Restoration. I'm very excited to be teaching them!! They are awesome.
Speaking of Oscar and Marisol, on Monday we made a goal for them to be prepared for baptism this Saturday, the 10th. Marisol said she wants more time and more attendances at church and Oscar was a little scared to say yes. But he said he will pray about it and think about it lots. He will tell us on Thursday his thoughts. It's a little hard seeing him be scared because he is soooo good and will do so much good once he has the blessings of baptism and the Holy Ghost!!! He even attends seminary every week! We are praying lots for him to feel right about baptism.
The family Esperanza is doing awesome. We got to talk to the dad his week and he said he doesn't know if he wants his kids to attend church, let alone be baptized :/ that is the challenge with them right now. But they are awesome and we hope they can start coming to church!
We had District council on Monday which was awesome and interviews with President Probst after. I love him and Hermana Probst, they are awesome. And then Tuesday we had Zone conference and it was soooo good. He is making some changes in the mission for us to be better together and I love it.
Spiritual thought this week comes from Zone Coference. President Probst said that if we live the doctrine of Christ (faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end) we will align our wills with God's and be happier and our challenges will be easier! As president Nelson said, daily repentance is a joy!
Ps. I ate Kellog’s fruit loops (I say specify Kellog’s because there are lots of no name brands here) for the first time and WOW they are U N R E A L! I highly reccomend thay you guys should all have a bowl this week:)
That's all for this week!!! Don't forget to pray
Much Love,
Elder Pilling
