It’s all about Jesus
Wow what a week!!!
This week was super awesome, mostly because of General Conference... but more on that later.
So this week we taught Veronica and Fernanda again! They were awesome and they both are progressing towards baptism, the only thing is that they have a few challenges and hurdles that need to be cleared first. But, I know that through Jesus Christ they can prepare themselves for baptism!! It's very exciting to see and I love sharing the power of the Savior with people.
We met with Joseline and Victoria as well. It has been like 2 weeks since we have met with Victoria so it was nice to see how she was. She seemed eager to listen to our message and talk about the gospel. She also said that her sister, Hellen, has been thinking lots about a mission!!! She is 17 years old so still has some time but it's so cool to see that she wants to serve a mission. We are hoping to visit her this weekend and set a baptismal date!
On Friday we visited a member family and learned that she has 2 twin girls thay are 9 years old and not baptized! Which means we can teach them the things they need to know before baptism and baptize them!! They are super excited and it's so cool to see their excitement!
Honestly there wasn't a ton of big things thay happened this week. But conference was incredible. It was incredibly spiritual for me and I hope that it was for you guys too! If you didnt watch any of it I would reccomend watching it. Or at least listen to the prophet’s talk... I loved how there was so much talk about Jesus Christ. About how he is the answer and solution to every single problem, question, trial, and challenge that we have. HE IS OUR STRENGTH. I have been thinking lots about making Christ the center of my life and this conference gave me a huge boost. When my brother Joe was on his mission, in his emails he would say, "It's all about Jesus" and although I want an original tag line... I am going to say that it really is ALL ABOUT JESUS. He is the only name by which we can be saved. He is the light, life, and truth. I PROMISE that if every single one of you makes an effort to have Christ as the center and the focus of your lives, you will be happier. And as President Nelson has said, choices will be clearer. You will know who you want to become. Things will be easier - not easy, but easier. As you work on focusing on Jesus, Satan will tempt you to do wrong and to choose the world over Christ. But the world will give you nothing but hollow nothingness. Christ, however, will give you more joy than you knew was possible. I love this gospel and I love serving the Lord. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the restored church on the earth. I know that there is nothing with more joy and happiness than the Gospel of JESUS CHRIST.
I hope you all have a good week and WORK on focusing on Jesus:) Remember, the Lord loves effort because effort brings rewards that can't come without. If you want to talk more about how you can focus on Christ, email me!!!
It's all about Jesus.
