My House Is Colder Than Canada
Hi everyone! Some of you may have noticed that I haven't written in awhile. I went home at the beginning of November and spent some time with my family. I even got to spend Christmas with them!!
Back in Guatemala!
I’m back in Guatemala and arrived on Dec. 27th. I opened an area in the middle of the transfer and am follow-up training (means my companion is in his 2nd transfer.) His name is Elder Reid and he is from Idaho falls. He’s super cool and we get along great. We are in the mountains and share a ward with another companionship. The ward is like 200 people every Sunday and it's awesome. They also have been feeding us lots!!! I love the mountains and walking in the mountains, it's so pretty. There are so many hills and we get a good workout haha.
We have been knocking lots of doors to find new people to teach and meeting lots of members. It's been busy but lots of knocking doors. We have so much fun but also work super hard and it's awesome. I love it!
I have been here about a week and the first 3 days were really hard I won't lie. But now it's never been better. Our house is super awesome and the weather is perfect. The lows at night are around 10 but our house definitley drops below that and it's so cold all morning until we leave the house. But I love it.
The last 3 months I have been thinking a lot about something I heard at EFY. One of the teachers said, "Christ never complained and so why should we?" He went through so much and yet never once complained. He fasted for 40 days and was tempted by Satan himself but yet instead of having angels minister to himself, he sent angels to John. I have been striving to keep this in my mind and make sure I don't complain. And I have so much to be grateful for!!
My favorite quote from Elder Reid this week: "I'm going to make cereal." We are excellent chefs haha.
That's all for this week! Enjoy the pictures and don't forget to pray!!!
