Being Sick is No Fun

Hey everyone!!

So I wasn't sick this week. But my companion was and it was not fun for him. Or me... haha.

Last Thursday Elder Reid woke up feeling terrible. So we didn't leave the house alllll day. And it was our p day. Kinda hard. And then Friday he felt bad too. So we left the house once at 4 to do our laundry and buy food. Then we came straight home. Then Saturday he felt a little better and we were able to go to a ward baptism in the morning.

We then went to the zone leader’s house to have a meeting about the goals they have for the district leaders because I am now a district leader. On the bus ride Elder Reid felt worse. And then we had to take another bus home!! So when we got home around 5 he felt good enough to try a few visits then we went home and rested because we had a visit with Pedro and his family!!! So that went super good! We actually invited them to be baptized... but they said that they were already baptized in their current church... so we have a few things to work on haha. We also saw them Sunday night - they gave us dinner :) they are soooo gretaful for us and for the message we have and it makes me so happy. Elder Reid finally felt like 85% on Tuesday and we were able to leave the house and work all afternoon!!! That felt really good and we are going to hit the ground running this next week.
Elder Reid and I finally leaving the apartment

Pretty lame email because we didn't really do much haha. Butttt I did read a super awesome talk that I want to share some thoughts about. "Then Will I Make Weak Things Strong" April 2022

"His strengthening, enabling grace gives us power to overcome all obstacles, all challenges, and all weaknesses as we seek to change."

Kinda of going back to last week’s email... if there is an obstacle or challenge you are facing, the Savior's grace can help you with that. As we humble yourselves and call upon His power through prayer, and seek to change or to overcome our challenges, he will help us. I have seen it time and time again in my own life and I promise you can see it in yours. Don't give up. Study the scriptures. Pray. Ask for His enabling grace to help you through your challenge.

I love you all!!!
