Brighter and brighter
Hi everyone!!! Welcome back to the blog
Kind of a short week but a really good one (p-day is now Monday). So it started off Wednesday night, we met with Vany Gomez. We talked about baptism and if she felt ready… she said she still has a few doubts but wants to be baptized in our church because she knows Joseph Smith was a prophet, the Book of Mormon is true and that our church is the only church with the true priesthood! So we have big plans for our next lesson.
On Saturday we decided to talk to an old friend who was talking to the missionaries like 4 months ago… Julio Cesar. He's 25 and he is the only member not baptized in his family, although they havent been to church in years. He really enjoyed our visit with him and wants to learn what he needs to do to be baptized!!! So we are visiting him this week and are going to help him and hopefully see him progress closer to Jesus christ.
Elder Reid is sick again... it's not as bad as last time but his stomach isn't quite normal right now haha. I realllyyyy hope we can work this week!!

This week I want to share a quote from a talk I read.
"Yes, we will make mistakes. Yes, we will falter. But as we seek to increase our love for God and strive to love our neighbor, the light of the gospel will surround and uplift us. The darkness will surely fade, because it cannot exist in the presence of light. As we draw near to God, He will draw near to us. And day by day, the hope of God’s light will grow within us, “brighter and brighter until the perfect day.”" - Elder Uchtdorf 2013 April
I love that it talks about the two great commandments. First loving God and then loving our neighbours. I promise that as you love God with all your might, mind and strength and look to do the same to your neighbours, you will be blessed with an increase of light in your life. You will feel closer to Christ and feel a joy like never before. This light and joy will grow "brighter and brighter until the perfect day."
I love you all!
Elder Pilling
