Hi everyone. Welcome back to the blog. This week I don't even know what we did. It went by so fast.
So... we got to teach Pedro and his family Thursday!! The Bishop accompanied us and it went super awesome. We really dove deep into the priesthood and its authority. Then we went back Saturday to invite them to church and remind them about the family home evening we planned for Sunday... we went at around 6, not expecting Pedro to be home because he works until 8. But he was! We were so surprised. We sat down and talked for a few minutes and he tells us he's going back to Canada to work for a year... And he literally leaves tomorrow. It was so sad I tried so hard to be excited and happy for him but it was pretty hard honestly. But, he and his wife did come to church!! Then the FHE on Sunday was less than good. He told us he had some doubts and that he was active in his current church. And that he would still be interested in learning more but with time. So like we are going to try and meet with the wife and kids and bring members with us butttt we are not sure what will happen. Makes me think how everything happens in the Lord's time, and not how we want it. But I am grateful for them and that they let us meet with them the last few weeks.
Other than them, we met with Jasmine finally! And she's almost done the Book of Mormon... it’s been 3 weeks. WHAT. So that was so cool. But the problem is, her parents don't want her attending church with us :/ we see her again Saturday.
This week I want to talk about Alma 7:11
"11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people."
We were talking to a sister in the ward and about how this scripture helps us. How knowing he suffered our afflictions can give us so much hope and peace. We need to call on him to receive this peace but he already went through whatever struggle you are going through!!
Oh and starting next week, we have p day on Monday!!!
I love you all!!!
