Jesus Loves You

Hey everyone!!! I hope you are all doing just fantastic!! 

This week was a pretty cool week. On Wednesday we had a magic show in the stake center with all of the stake. A friend of the stake president from Mexico came to do a show for us and it turned out awesome! Then afterwards there was a bunch of different food options! We had lots of friends that came to see and they all loved it!!



We had divisions with the assistants and I went to San Lucas where they live. We had a blast and I learned a lot from him!! It was actually my 3rd day working in that area haha. And my 2nd time doing divisions with him. He was my zone leader a few months ago. I really enjoyed it. 



We met with Josue this week and were able to put a baptismal date for the 24th! His aunt and uncle are ok with it but they want his mom to say yes. So Josue called his mom and she said that he needs to learn more... she is from a different church and so it might be hard because we have no way to talk to her... she lives in the States haha. But we will see what the Lord has prepared! 

"Repentance is the pathway to joy because it is the pathway that leads to the Savior Jesus Christ." 

I love this little quote so much because it reminds us the blessing of repentance and the joy we receive. We receive this joy because we become closer to Jesus Christ! There are so many examples in the scriptures testifying of this truth and I invite you all to think about the joy you have received from repentance in your life!!

Big Changes

  Hey everyone!!   So this week we had transfers and I got moved to a super cool area called San Lucas Toliman. It's on the famous Lake Atitlan and surrounded by volcanoes. It is soooo pretty here!! I don't have a ton of pictures but I will take more this week don't worry. My companion is Elder Perez from Mexico and I am starting his training!!! I'm so excited and there's tons of work to do here.  The missionaries before us really didn't leave us anything to work with so we are starting from 0... but with a little bit of hard work and some time we will see miracles!!  This week in my studies I came across a verse from Doctrine and Covenants section 50:44 "44 Wherefore, I am in your midst, and I am the good shepherd, and the stone of Israel. He that buildeth upon this rock shall never fall." I love that it has two different names of Christ and that it gives us a promise. If we build upon his rock, we will never fall!!  Such a big blessing.  Happy new ye...

Baptism!

  Hey everyone!!! So, I probably won’t send very long emails until the last week... but these last two weeks have been awesome!   Last Sunday we had 11 people come to church, which is the biggest number I have ever had or seen!! SUCH A BIG MIRACLE for me.  On Saturday we were able to baptize Abigail, which was also another miracle story. After, she texted us and told us how grateful she was and that she will never forget us and hopes we never forget her. I love being a missionary.  This coming week we already have super big days planned with a lot of new potential people and I am so excited and am trying to finish strong! Last Tuesday we went to the temple. That was one of the best, most spiritual experiences on my mission.    I don't have much time left but just trying to finish strong!!   I have been putting "be happy" at the end of my emails for a little while now because I truly believe that being happy is a choice. Time is Running Out

Heyyyy everyone I hope you are all doing good!!  I didn't send an email last week sorry about that. But these last two weeks have been super good!! We have seen the Lord's hand and his timing in everything.  We were walking up a street trying to talk to everyone and then this mom and son stopped us and offered us some empanadas. My companion bought one and then we talked to them about the church! We had a visit with them a little bit after and they told us they NEVER walk down that one street but for whatever reason decided to walk down it. So that's cool. We are really hoping we can help them come to church.  We got a referral from the bishop’s wife. Her name is Abigail. Somehow Abigail was talking to the missionaries 2 years ago but never had time to go to church. And then somehow found the bishop’s wife's number. She has come the last 2 Sundays and is super ready. She told us she had already received her answer about the Book of Mormón and the church. So cool.  He...
