Mission Wide Training!

 Heyyyy everybody. What's up? 


This week was wild. Super busy busy. We had zone council Tuesday to talk about some goals we want to have for this transfer and then on Wednesday a training with the other leaders and Elder Godoy (area president) and then on Thursday we had the mission wide training with him. We have never been together as a whole mission so that was WILD. He taught us some very good things and things we have to do better! I'm excited for this transfer. 




We got to meet with Karla again and had a good lesson on prayer and the spirit. We also got to meet with Josue. He is 12 and lives with his aunt, uncle, and cousin. He is the only one not baptized and we will be working with him more this week!! Tonight we are having a family home evening with Karla and some members to watch the restoration movie. We are really excited about that too. 

One of the things elder Godoy mentioned is that there are some things that we cannot vote "yes" or "no" on. We can vote on what food is the best. We can vote on the best movie. But we cannot vote on the fact that we are sons and daughters of God and that he knows and loves us more than we can comprehend. We can't change it. Ever. What joy and peace that can bring us. Never ever forget that God loves you. And that you matter. Even if you make mistakes. Because after all, we all make mistakes.

Big Changes

  Hey everyone!!   So this week we had transfers and I got moved to a super cool area called San Lucas Toliman. It's on the famous Lake Atitlan and surrounded by volcanoes. It is soooo pretty here!! I don't have a ton of pictures but I will take more this week don't worry. My companion is Elder Perez from Mexico and I am starting his training!!! I'm so excited and there's tons of work to do here.  The missionaries before us really didn't leave us anything to work with so we are starting from 0... but with a little bit of hard work and some time we will see miracles!!  This week in my studies I came across a verse from Doctrine and Covenants section 50:44 "44 Wherefore, I am in your midst, and I am the good shepherd, and the stone of Israel. He that buildeth upon this rock shall never fall." I love that it has two different names of Christ and that it gives us a promise. Baptism!

  Hey everyone!!! So, I probably won’t send very long emails until the last week... but these last two weeks have been awesome!   Last Sunday we had 11 people come to church, which is the biggest number I have ever had or seen!! SUCH A BIG MIRACLE for me.  On Saturday we were able to baptize Abigail, which was also another miracle story. After, she texted us and told us how grateful she was and that she will never forget us and hopes we never forget her. I love being a missionary.  This coming week we already have super big days planned with a lot of new potential people and I am so excited and am trying to finish strong! Last Tuesday we went to the temple. That was one of the best, most spiritual experiences on my mission.    I don't have much time left but just trying to finish strong!!   I have been putting "be happy" at the end of my emails for a little while now because I truly believe that being happy is a choice. Time is Running Out

Heyyyy everyone I hope you are all doing good!!  I didn't send an email last week sorry about that. But these last two weeks have been super good!! We have seen the Lord's hand and his timing in everything.  We were walking up a street trying to talk to everyone and then this mom and son stopped us and offered us some empanadas. My companion bought one and then we talked to them about the church! We had a visit with them a little bit after and they told us they NEVER walk down that one street but for whatever reason decided to walk down it. So that's cool. We are really hoping we can help them come to church.  We got a referral from the bishop’s wife. Her name is Abigail. Somehow Abigail was talking to the missionaries 2 years ago but never had time to go to church. And then somehow found the bishop’s wife's number. She has come the last 2 Sundays and is super ready. She told us she had already received her answer about the Book of Mormón and the church. So cool.  He...
