Elder Pilling in Antigua

  Hey everyone!!!!   I'm alive don't worry 😅😅 The blockades have now ended. It didn’t last very long haha. And we have been working away trying new things to help more people come unto Christ!!  La familia Lol Garcia. This is a family that was being taught 4 years ago and the old missionary teaching them reached out to us. Yesterday the mom (Aide), her daughter (Dulce) and her aunt came to church!!! And stayed for both hours... it was an incredible day because we had the primary presentation and it was SO WELL DONE and then the Sunday school class was very good. We are hoping to see some progress with her and her family. Please pray for them.  Yesterday we went to visit another person that was being taught 4 years ago. Her name is Pamela Larios. She is super nice and her mom was there too so we got to know her too. Hey y’all!!   We don't have much time but this week flew by. We didn't have many problems this week with the blockades.  It basically opened up the last few days to almorzó blockades... so I'm not sure if the people really want to take the government out or no haha. We will see what happens this week.        A few sad things... Karla and Josue haven't really been progressing and there are few challenges that they have to work out. So they are sorta on the back burner for now...  But! We fund some new people and had a cool surprise!  1. We went to this random house marked on our map that just had a name "Luz" (light in Spanish). So we knocked on it and she was super nice and totally willing to receive us! But not  until tomorrow ... so we will see how that goes.  2. We found out that the relief society president's daughter isn't baptized because the first time they tried, she got scared and her foot came out of the water. Then she was too...

  Heyyyy everyone!! Craziness right now here in Guatemala! The people aren't very happy with the government so they are protesting a lot. And today the government said they would use military force to shut it down... so we are stuck in the house!!!!  But even though there are blockades, we got to meet with the Ruiz family!! We had a good visit and we are praying to meet with them more and help them make covenants!!  A few cool stories:  1. Knocked on this door a few days ago and the wife said come back another day. We went back and the husband opened up to us.  He’s taking an English bc he was born in the states and said he's super stressed because he has a court case. And because of the stress he was smoking.  He was talking super fast because he didn't have a lot of time, he says he loved my tie (it was a typical one). Asked how much it was, I said Q25 ($5CDN). He offered Q50. But I didn't have another one to wear afterwards so he said he'd trade me. He h...
