Christmas

What is uppppp everyone. 

This week was pretty busy!! We had divisions, helping other elders move, interviews, helping the zone, and a stake Christmas devotional. 

I went to a place called San Juan with my old companion elder Reid. It's weird because it's the same stake but an hour away on bus in the middle of the mountain. It was fun being back in a mountain area and with elder Reid.

  

The next morning we helped two elders move out of that house to their own house with a crazy pretty view of the capital. So that was cool. 

Saturday we traveled to all the areas in the zone to give a calendar for family home evenings! So we are working with the ward in having a family home evening every night with one of their friends!! 


The Christmas devotional was super cool. We as a zone sang a song and then we also sang in our ward choir. It was so fun! 

Enrique: Loves the things we are teaching and how he feels with us. But he doesn't feel comfortable praying... so we are trying to help him with that. 

Elizabeth: Had a TON of interest in the book of mormon and has started to read it from the beginning!! Hope she can come to church with us one day. 

Well this week I just wanted to invite all of you to have a family home evening with one of your friends and the missionaries. You can choose the topic of the message but it can just be the simple story of Jesus. Miracles can happen during this time of the year!!

Big Changes

  Hey everyone!!   So this week we had transfers and I got moved to a super cool area called San Lucas Toliman. It's on the famous Lake Atitlan and surrounded by volcanoes. It is soooo pretty here!! I don't have a ton of pictures but I will take more this week don't worry. My companion is Elder Perez from Mexico and I am starting his training!!! I'm so excited and there's tons of work to do here.  The missionaries before us really didn't leave us anything to work with so we are starting from 0... but with a little bit of hard work and some time we will see miracles!!  This week in my studies I came across a verse from Doctrine and Covenants section 50:44 "44 Wherefore, I am in your midst, and I am the good shepherd, and the stone of Israel. He that buildeth upon this rock shall never fall." I love that it has two different names of Christ and that it gives us a promise. If we build upon his rock, we will never fall!!  Such a big blessing.  Happy new ye...

Baptism!

  Hey everyone!!! So, I probably won’t send very long emails until the last week... but these last two weeks have been awesome!   Last Sunday we had 11 people come to church, which is the biggest number I have ever had or seen!! SUCH A BIG MIRACLE for me.  On Saturday we were able to baptize Abigail, which was also another miracle story. After, she texted us and told us how grateful she was and that she will never forget us and hopes we never forget her. I love being a missionary.  This coming week we already have super big days planned with a lot of new potential people and I am so excited and am trying to finish strong! Last Tuesday we went to the temple. That was one of the best, most spiritual experiences on my mission.    I don't have much time left but just trying to finish strong!!   I have been putting "be happy" at the end of my emails for a little while now because I truly believe that being happy is a choice. Time is Running Out

Heyyyy everyone I hope you are all doing good!!  I didn't send an email last week sorry about that. But these last two weeks have been super good!! We have seen the Lord's hand and his timing in everything.  We were walking up a street trying to talk to everyone and then this mom and son stopped us and offered us some empanadas. My companion bought one and then we talked to them about the church! We had a visit with them a little bit after and they told us they NEVER walk down that one street but for whatever reason decided to walk down it. So that's cool. We are really hoping we can help them come to church.  We got a referral from the bishop’s wife. Her name is Abigail. Somehow Abigail was talking to the missionaries 2 years ago but never had time to go to church. And then somehow found the bishop’s wife's number. She has come the last 2 Sundays and is super ready. She told us she had already received her answer about the Book of Mormón and the church. So cool.  He...
