Opposition

 Hey everyone!!

This week was a pretty awesome week and I think it's only going to get better.... because we are both new, we have been using our map and knocking the doors of all of the members. By doing this we were able to find a few inactive members!! And they are willing to have us help them! I'll talk about one of them in a second. We also got to know the majority of members and learn about the ward which is nice. 

So one of the inactives is Ailin Lopez. She hasn't gone to church in 8 months for problems with her husband. We visited her on Saturday and shared a message and on Sunday she came to church!! It was awesome. 

On Tuesday we were walking off the boat from a zone meeting and a guy comes up and talks to us. He tells us like 20 years ago he talked with missionaries. So we visited him a few times and are really hoping that he can recognize the truth in our message. 

This week I read a lot of good scriptures. One of which was in 2 Nephi 2 verse 11. Sorry it's a little long... 

11 For it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things. If not so, my firstborn in the wilderness, righteousness could not be brought to pass, neither wickedness, neither holiness nor misery, neither good nor bad. Wherefore, all things must needs be a compound in one; wherefore, if it should be one body it must needs remain as dead, having no life neither death, nor corruption nor incorruption, happiness nor misery, neither sense nor insensibility. 


The very challenges that make us ask "why?" are the same challenges that allow us to experience joy and happiness. Without the bitter we could never know the sweet. Be grateful for the challenges and always look for the good. Challenges eventually pass and we will come out a better person!
