Trust in the Lord

Wow. What a week haha.   This week FLEW by. It was so busy.  Tuesday we had our multizone conference with 75 missionaries and my companion and I had to give a 25 minute training on unity! It actually went really good and everyone loved it!! We also all got our own box of Little Caesers!! Crazy.  Tuesday night  4 elders from a different zone slept with us because there weren't any buses back to their zone. We slept two to a bed and it wasn't the best sleep....  Friday we had interviews with President Probst and that was just good. I love having interviews.  On Friday night  we had dinner with Darwin and shared a few commandments. That was a good night and we are growing closer with him and he is making steps closer to baptism!!  Staurday we cleaned a school as a service project and it was raining the whole time. Kinda fun but kinda cold too.  Then on Sunday we gave talks on missionary work!! My 1st talk in the mission... it went really ...

Transfer News!

Hey everyone! Hope you are all doing good!   Well we had transfers and I am now in Chimaltenango again! The same zone I started my mission in. Everyone wants to be here in this zone and I'm really excited. It was sad saying goodbye to Elder Martinez but I'm excited for this next transfer.  Before I left Mixco we had a lesson with Fabricio! It was pretty good but sad to say goodbye to them. I really enjoyed my time visiting them. I hope Fabricio can take the step and be baptized!  On Friday we had transfers and when I got to my new area - which is called Chimaltenango 1 (or chimal 1 for short) we had lessons and visits. On Saturday we had a full day and visiting people and having lessons. That night we ate tortillas de harina. Which  was like one of the best things I’ve ever eaten (picture below). On Sunday I got super sick. I had diarrhea, a fever, a headache, and was not doing good. It hit me around 12. I slept allll afternoon and it sucked. I haven't been th...

Baptism!

Holaaaaaaa What is UP everyone? I hope you are doing good. This week was a great week. We had a tri on Tuesday because one of the assistants came to work with us. It was a decent day.  Wednesday and Thursday we helped a member move bags of sand from the road into their house because everyone here lives on a mini road that can't fit a car. And the sand was WET. It was a good workout I won't lie but also pretty fun haha. They gave us lunch both days :) We went back to the school and had another lesson with two of the teachers. We shared about the restoration and gave them copies of the Book of Mormon.  We are setting up a time to go back. Annddd we are setting up times to teach English to the students!!!! I'm so excited to be apart of this and help them become closer to Jesus Christ!  We also prepared Kennya for her baptism on Sunday. She has so much desire to serve God and to learn more in the gospel! It was so cool to see. After her baptism she shared her testimony and it...

Miracles

Hey everyone!!! Welcome to this week's email. It's a good one… Ok so started off on Tuesday. We were walking down a street when a lady stopped us and told us she's a member and wanted us to go visit her. We told her Thursday we can go. (We will come back to her).  Then we had divisions/exchanges on Wednesday. I left my area to see what was happening in one of the other areas in the zone. That was super good.  Then I came back with Elder Martinez  on Thursday at 12 ish . We dropped off his stay- over clothes and then went to visit this lady. Her name is Flor OrdoƱez and she has cancer. She lives with her youngest daughter Kennya who is 12 years old and her grand baby who is 2 (who doesn't live with the mom anymore). She doesn't have a job and is barely paying for her chemotherapy. She was baptized 15 years ago but hasn't gone to church for the past 3 years. Kennya isn't baptized yet. We shared some scriptures of hope and strength and then put a baptismal da...
