What Now?

Hi everyone!!! I I hope this week was super good for you guys!!  This week was pretty good!  We got to meet with Bruno on Tuesday and on Saturday. We need to talk to the bishop but we should be able to get him confirmed soon!! We also met with a new family- Angelica, Alan, and Genisis. They were super nice and we are really hoping to meet with them again.  Cindy and Alex broke up this week which is sooo sad. But it is best for both of them. We are going to try and talk to Alex still but we aren't sure if he is still interested... but the good thing is that Cindy is still reading and praying and still feeling the joy of the gospel in her life!! We have transfers  this Friday  and we have no idea who is leaving... we find out on Wednesday!    I was reading a talk by Neal A. Maxwell called "Applying the Atoning Blood of Christ." Talking about our mortal challenges he talks about us asking "why" questions in our prayers. Here is something interestin...

Little Things Make Big Changes

Hi everyone!! I hope this week was really good for you guys!   This week was a pretty solid week. We got a few references and set up appointments for next with them and we are very excited about that!  The best thing that happened this week were our visits with Cindy (Alex's girlfriend). We went on Tuesday and met with just her because Alex was working very for away. We talked about how it was going and if she wanted to get married. She told us a lot of her thoughts and fears. Turns out she has a little fear of getting married and coming back to church but Alex really wants to be baptized and married. So we talked about revelation and how she needs to read the Book of Mormón and ask our Heavenly Father for guidance. It was super spiritual. We then went back on Thursday and followed up. She told us she had been reading and praying every night and that she felt so much peace. She had stress lifted from her shoulders. Even people at work told her she seemed happier. She di...

Hard Times=Good Times

Hey Everyone! Another super fast week. But this week wasn't as good as we had hoped. We had a visit set up with Alex and his girlfriend on Saturday... but as we were trying to confirm with them we couldn't get a hold of them. So we went to their house but nobody answered 😕 Then Sunday came around and they couldn't make it to church for some reason 😕. And then they didn't have time to visit afterwards. It was kinda hard. The good thing was that we met with a 15 year old named Wendy who was meeting with the missionaries a while ago but didn't have permission from the parents. We are going to try a few things and hopefully help her to make it to the waters of baptism!!   On Saturday we had lunch with some members and MADE BURGERS. They tasted like home I won't lie. That was really fun.  A good friend of mine sent me an email last week and told me how he could see that I was happy even in the hard times. This week was exactly that. Although it was a hard week, I f...

Jesus Christ is always there

Hi everyone!!! I hope you are all doing really awesome.   This week was a pretty good week. We started out by having zone divisiones. I went to an area called Lo de Coy with one of the district leaders. It was an awesome time and we did some very good work.    The next big thing this week was our lesson with Alex! We went with him and his girlfriend Saturday. Taught about the plan of salvation and then invited him to be baptized. And he accepted a date for  the 20th of May !! We also need to plan a wedding though and marry them first... but that's easy haha. We asked how his reading of the Book of Mormón has gone and he started to tear up and tell how us how much peace and joy he gets from reading the Book of Mormon. A testimony to all of us that the Book of Mormon is true and that we can receive blessings by reading it.  I don't remember where I found it but I wrote on a sticky note one day that says, "You will never be alone unless you choose to be." It...

Miracles

Hey everyone!!!!  This week was a really solid week.  We started it off with MLC. Which is a meeting with all of the zone leaders with the assistants and President and Sister Probst. We got some super good council on the doctrine of Christ and how we can use that better as missionaries. We got to do it at the mission president’s house too so that was cool.  I also haven't even talked about English class here but it's on another level. We have a beginners class and an advanced class. The sisters in the ward teach the beginner class and have like 30 people every class. We teach the advanced class and have about 15 every class (Tuesday and Thursday). And because so many come, we are official English connect teachers and can give the students diplomas! So on Thursday we had a graduation for all of the students who passed. Around 80 people showed up. All of them were not members and we had a good time! So crazy.  Then on Sunday we had a really awesome visit with ...
