Hey friends!  This week was a pretty solid week! We saw a cool miracle that I'm hoping will grow into something more!  So this Tuesday we had zone council and set some goals for this transfer! Then that night we had our english class. Pretty normal. Afterwards though the students ask us to share a message right then because in the past we sometimes did and sometimes we left for other appointments. So we shared a message.  Wednesday was my birthday!!! That was pretty fun. We just went to a nice restaurant and got a burger and a salad. Which by the way the salad was probably the best salad I've ever eaten... who would've thought it'd happen here? Thursday I had immigration  at 4:30  in the morning and then that night we had english class! It was raining pretty good and so not very many people came (because apparently you can't do anything when it rains). Afterwards, we shared a message. And then the miracle. One of the students came to our stake conference and rea...

Rain and More Rain

Whats up everyone!!! Well the rainy season is finally here. We got soaked pretty much everyday this week. Makes for a fun time though haha.   We had exchanges  on Wednesday this week  which was pretty good! I went to a different area with a newer missionary and we ended up putting a baptism date for a family!! That was super cool. But in all our walking, everything waist down got soaked haha. It was a fun time.     We also had a visit with Fabricio and put a goal for baptism  the 7th of July  and had a fast this weekend with him to help him receive an answer to his prayers!! That was super cool. We also had a visit with Alex! He had a question for us regarding why it's hard to do the right thing even though we know it will help us. I feel that all of us have had this question at one point in time. The scripture 3 Nephi  18:18  came to my mind.  18 Behold, verily, verily, I say unto you, ye must watch and pray always lest ye enter in...

Busy Busy

Hi everyone!!! This week was super busy and I'm honestly super tired today but it’s so good. And today is p day!  This week started out with MLC (missionary leadership council) with the zone leaders and president. It was super awesome and we talked about having a new goal for baptisms... we want to reach 100 baptisms a month... as a mission we haven't even hit 60. But last month we hit 50! So that's super exciting.  We then had to prepare a training on Wednesday for zone conference on Thursday. That was super spiritual and a really good conference!! We even got to play basketball afterwards...  Then we had some good lessons on the weekend and a few meetings on Sunday.  On Friday we went to Cindy's families house. And then... Alex was there!! With Cindy again!! Like what?? We didn't get the chance to ask them if they are back together for good or anything but we will see them this week. Alex told us he really wants to meet with us. So that's exciting!  We ...

What Now?

Hi everyone!!! I I hope this week was super good for you guys!!  This week was pretty good!  We got to meet with Bruno on Tuesday and on Saturday. We need to talk to the bishop but we should be able to get him confirmed soon!! We also met with a new family- Angelica, Alan, and Genisis. They were super nice and we are really hoping to meet with them again.  Cindy and Alex broke up this week which is sooo sad. But it is best for both of them. We are going to try and talk to Alex still but we aren't sure if he is still interested... but the good thing is that Cindy is still reading and praying and still feeling the joy of the gospel in her life!! We have transfers  this Friday  and we have no idea who is leaving... we find out on Wednesday!    I was reading a talk by Neal A. Maxwell called "Applying the Atoning Blood of Christ." Talking about our mortal challenges he talks about us asking "why" questions in our prayers. Here is something interestin...

Little Things Make Big Changes

Hi everyone!! I hope this week was really good for you guys!   This week was a pretty solid week. We got a few references and set up appointments for next with them and we are very excited about that!  The best thing that happened this week were our visits with Cindy (Alex's girlfriend). We went on Tuesday and met with just her because Alex was working very for away. We talked about how it was going and if she wanted to get married. She told us a lot of her thoughts and fears. Turns out she has a little fear of getting married and coming back to church but Alex really wants to be baptized and married. So we talked about revelation and how she needs to read the Book of Mormón and ask our Heavenly Father for guidance. It was super spiritual. We then went back on Thursday and followed up. She told us she had been reading and praying every night and that she felt so much peace. She had stress lifted from her shoulders. Even people at work told her she seemed happier. She di...

Hard Times=Good Times

Hey Everyone! Another super fast week. But this week wasn't as good as we had hoped. We had a visit set up with Alex and his girlfriend on Saturday... but as we were trying to confirm with them we couldn't get a hold of them. So we went to their house but nobody answered 😕 Then Sunday came around and they couldn't make it to church for some reason 😕. And then they didn't have time to visit afterwards. It was kinda hard. The good thing was that we met with a 15 year old named Wendy who was meeting with the missionaries a while ago but didn't have permission from the parents. We are going to try a few things and hopefully help her to make it to the waters of baptism!!   On Saturday we had lunch with some members and MADE BURGERS. They tasted like home I won't lie. That was really fun.  A good friend of mine sent me an email last week and told me how he could see that I was happy even in the hard times. This week was exactly that. Although it was a hard week, I f...

Jesus Christ is always there

Hi everyone!!! I hope you are all doing really awesome.   This week was a pretty good week. We started out by having zone divisiones. I went to an area called Lo de Coy with one of the district leaders. It was an awesome time and we did some very good work.    The next big thing this week was our lesson with Alex! We went with him and his girlfriend Saturday. Taught about the plan of salvation and then invited him to be baptized. And he accepted a date for  the 20th of May !! We also need to plan a wedding though and marry them first... but that's easy haha. We asked how his reading of the Book of Mormón has gone and he started to tear up and tell how us how much peace and joy he gets from reading the Book of Mormon. A testimony to all of us that the Book of Mormon is true and that we can receive blessings by reading it.  I don't remember where I found it but I wrote on a sticky note one day that says, "You will never be alone unless you choose to be." It...
