Time is almost up!

Hey everyone!!! This week was a very good week. Went by very fast and we have transfers in like 10 days :/     But we started this week with being in a trio with one of the assistants to the president! Elder Barahona. That was fun and interesting. He can eat soooooo much haha it was so fun. We met with a 9 year old boy who wants to be baptized but is a little scared of the water. So we are trying to encourage and motive him to be excited and want to be baptized in March!  Funny story… Wednesday we went to a village in the mountains called Chichoy ParaĆso. We met with a lady we talked to a few weeks back in town. We got to know her a little and then we shared a message. She then asked us if we did anything else besides share messages about Jesus Christ. We replied with "of course! We serve and help others!" She said, "Can you guys build me a house please?”  We were a little shocked and surprised. Sadly, we responded and said we couldn't build a house. And we don'...

One Percent Better

Hi everyone!!!!  Sooo this week was super awesome and went by so fast. We started our new schedule this week, leaving  at 10 am  in the morning! It is so much better than leaving at 1 or 2 haha.  So we finalized a baptism date with Rosa. She has been meeting with the missionaries since last June... and her husband is a member and now she made the decision to be baptized  on the 5th of March ! We are very excited for her!!! We met with Vany as well and things are still progressing with her, she just has lots of questions haha.  On Tuesday we had divisions! I went to my zone leader’s area and got to work with him for a day. It was super cool to see another area and work with a different companion - a latino haha. Then Thursday we had zone conference!!! It was super good and we talked about why we changed the schedule and the p day. And talking with President and Hermana Probst was awesome! We went to the tienda, or little store, and bought some snacks ...

Brighter and brighter

Hi everyone!!! Welcome back to the blog Kind of a short week but a really good one (p-day is now Monday).  So it started off  Wednesday night , we met with Vany Gomez. We talked about baptism and if she felt ready… she said she still has a few doubts but wants to be baptized in our church because she knows Joseph Smith was a prophet, the Book of Mormon is true and that our church is the only church with the true priesthood! So we have big plans for our next lesson.  On Saturday we decided to talk to an old friend who was talking to the missionaries like 4 months ago… Julio Cesar. He's 25 and he is the only member not baptized in his family, although they havent been to church in years. He really enjoyed our visit with him and wants to learn what he needs to do to be baptized!!! So we are visiting him this week and are going to help him and hopefully see him progress closer to Jesus christ.  Elder Reid is sick again... it's not as bad as last time but his stoma...

Hi everyone. Welcome back to the blog. This week I don't even know what we did. It went by so fast.  So... we got to teach Pedro and his family Thursday!! The Bishop accompanied us and it went super awesome. We really dove deep into the priesthood and its authority. Then we went back Saturday to invite them to church and remind them about the family home evening we planned for Sunday... we went at around 6, not expecting Pedro to be home because he works until 8. But he was! We were so surprised. We sat down and talked for a few minutes and he tells us he's going back to Canada to work for a year... And he literally leaves tomorrow. It was so sad I tried so hard to be excited and happy for him but it was pretty hard honestly. But, he and his wife did come to church!! Then the FHE on Sunday was less than good. He told us he had some doubts and that he was active in his current church. And that he would still be interested in learning more but with time. So like we are going to t...

Being Sick is No Fun

Hey everyone!!  So I wasn't sick this week. But my companion was and it was not fun for him. Or me... haha.  Last Thursday Elder Reid woke up feeling terrible. So we didn't leave the house alllll day. And it was our p day. Kinda hard. And then Friday he felt bad too. So we left the house once at 4 to do our laundry and buy food. Then we came straight home. Then Saturday he felt a little better and we were able to go to a ward baptism in the morning. We then went to the zone leader’s house to have a meeting about the goals they have for the district leaders because I am now a district leader. On the bus ride Elder Reid felt worse. And then we had to take another bus home!! So when we got home around 5 he felt good enough to try a few visits then we went home and rested because we had a visit with Pedro and his family!!! So that went super good! We actually invited them to be baptized... but they said that they were already baptized in their current church... so we have a few th...
